Start-Up Stories—Survival By Design Enterprise Center at Salem State University Monday, September 21, 2015 It was a pleasure to present my Start-Up Story at the Enterprise Center at Salem State. Starting a business or launching a new product can be intimidating. But, with a promising idea plus planning, persistence, and personality, it can also be a positive experience and pleasantly profitable. In this fun and informative workshop, I spoke about how I started my graphic design business and accompanying boutique line of greeting cards. I offered an insider’s perspective on the greeting card industry, licensing, trade shows, Kickstarter campaigns, and how to sustain a referral-based business without losing your mind. |
